The story behind The Meadow Post
In 2026, our family said goodbye to two cats within a few short months. Soon after, the house grew quieter than any of us knew a house could be.
One afternoon our nine-year-old daughter found me crying at the kitchen table. She disappeared for a while, then came back holding a folded piece of paper. "I found something in the post," she said. "It's from Kitty Land; From Summer."
The letter said the sun was warm where she was, that the grass was green, and that she wasn't lonely. It was signed with a small, careful paw print and her name in orange marker.
The Meadow Post is that small act of imagination, gently extended: a quiet place where a Keeper looks after the kitties who have passed, and where their humans can leave a note and, sometimes, hear a little something back.
